Two individuals have been taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, or NSCDC, Katsina State Command, for separate acts of vandalism of public property.
The first time, Ma’aruf Yusuf, 20, of Makudawa Quarters in Katsina city, was arrested by the NSCDC anti-vandal team for vandalizing streetlight wires at Mangagarin Makudawa in Katsina LGA, according to the command’s public relations officer, DSc Buhari Hamisu. The team’s actions were taken in response to information they had gotten.
When they spotted the specialized anti-vandal patrol squad, Yusuf’s two accomplices—whom he identified as Aliyu, alias Chakal and Haduwa—managed to flee the area, but not by themselves.
