On Sunday, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor Johnson Olalekan Ajiboye’s wife, Mrs. Blessing Ajiboye, was kidnapped in Kwara State. The Kwara State Police Command has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection with the kidnapping.
On Thursday around 8:45 p.m. in Elerinjare, close to Idofian town in the Ifelodun Local Area of the state, the victim, 34, and her two other store employees were kidnapped while serving customers.
Supposedly present during the incident was a clergyman’s daughter, who reportedly managed to flee without getting wounded.
But rumor had it that some of the victims eventually got their freedom back.
Ajayi Okasanmi (SP), the Police Public Relations Officer, provided reporters with an update on the situation over the phone on Sunday, stating that “two suspects have been apprehended so far.
However, Mrs. Ajiboye has not yet been found and her whereabouts are currently unknown. The probe, however, is still ongoing, according to Okasanmi.
Pastor Ajiboye described the invasion while describing his experience: “The gunmen, who included two women, stormed the highly busy shop from a neighboring bush beside the Community Primary School located in the vicinity.
“The shooters didn’t touch or take any money. They only took my wife, Blessing Ajiboye, 34, after removing the child strapped to her back and keeping him on the ground, he continued.
