28 traffic offenders arrested by FRSC in Ondo

The Federal Road Safety Corps’ Ondo State Sector Command declared that it had detained no fewer than twenty-eight individuals for alleged traffic offenses in the state during the previous month.

The state capital of Akure and its surroundings are where the arrest was made, according to the sector command.

Speaking in Akure on Wednesday, Mr. Ezekiel Son’Allah, the FRSC’s Sector Commander, revealed this.

“Driving against traffic is a very serious offence,” stated Son’Allah. I want to urge drivers to follow the law and not break any traffic regulations, as we have already detained 28 criminals.

This kind of activity typically results in fatal accidents and wrecks. To keep our lane clean, we need to practice self-control. Moving against the flow of traffic is risky and should be avoided.

It occurs more frequently in motorcycle riders. However, because one way is so close to their destination, we are still pleading with all drivers to avoid utilizing it. We all want to be secure, so we must all refrain from going in one direction.

In order to preserve proper manners, SonAllah also cautioned drivers to always act professionally and make sure they are traveling in the proper section of the road.

“Drinking and driving is not advised during this ’ember’ period. The head of the FRSC issued a warning, saying, “Respect the FRSC officers and other security agencies on the highways because they are there to protect and save you from unforeseen circumstances, not to victimize you.”

Tosin Wanlele, 24, has been taken into custody by members of the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on suspicion of involvement in cult-related activities in the area.

As the suspect was being paraded around Igbokoda on Wednesday, the base’s executive officer made this statement on behalf of the commanding officer, Navy Captain Wasuku Alushim.

He emphasized that the arrest was a component of the ongoing efforts in the military area of operation to combat cultism and other illegal activity.

“The suspect and others who are currently at large had been harassing and intimidating passersby with dangerous weapons,” the officer stated. As a result, we acted and arrested Tosin Wanlele, the suspect, based on reliable information.

You may find it interesting to learn that the leader of the Igbokoda vigilantes verified that the suspect was a well-known and infamous cultist who had been terrorizing the locals for a very long period.

He was subsequently turned over to the Department of State Security for additional inquiry as a result. It is important to note that the Base has persisted in working with Ondo State’s other security authorities to stop the spread of cultism in its operational region.
