Between January and June 2023, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) detained at least 281,421 traffic offenders countrywide.
They committed 307,554 offenses, according to FRSC spokesman Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Bisi Kazeem, who made this announcement in Abuja on Monday.
He listed the infractions as seatbelt failure, unsafe driving, using a phone while driving, going too fast, violating the rules of the road, overloading, and driving with worn-out or expired tires.
In the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, he claimed, “The corps arrested no fewer than 281,421 for committing 307,554 offences.”
