On Thursday, September 7, agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) found Asana Leke, 39, along the Mokwa-Jebba Road with no less than 399 fragments of improvised explosive devices.
The artifacts and the suspect were then given to the military authorities in Niger State. The suspect said that the explosives were given to him in a park in Ibadan, Oyo State, to be conveyed to someone in Kaduna.
The NDLEA state commands and other formations continued the anti-narcotics agency’s fight against drug misuse advocacy campaigns in schools, places of worship, palaces, and local communities among other places, in addition to the different drug control initiatives.

According to a source, NDLEA agents also detained shipments of methamphetamine hidden in discarded clothing and skunk concealed in tomato paste that were destined for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
“The meth shipment, with a gross weight of 1.60kg, was seized at a courier firm in Lagos, while the shipment of skunk in tomato pastes, weighing 20kg, was detained on Friday, September 8, at the SAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.
“NDLEA personnel of the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation, connected to courier businesses, also seized another cargo of 556 grammes of Canadian Loud shipped from Canada to one Tunji Adebayo in Ikorodu, Lagos.

“Adebayo told his younger brother to sign for the parcel on his behalf even though he wasn’t home when agents went to his home at 52, Aina Atoloye Street, Ikorodu. The brother was soon taken into custody, according to Babafemi.
Meanwhile, on September 4, NDLEA agents stormed the residence of a reputed drug lord in Akala, Mushin, Lagos, Abdul Rauf, dubbed “Na God,” recovering 1,101kg of Ghanaian Loud and arresting three suspects while the desired kingpin remained at free.
