5 Nations to Co-Host UEFA EURO 2028

In a significant announcement, the UEFA Executive Committee has revealed that the UEFA EURO 2028 will be jointly hosted by England, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. This decision was made during an official ceremony at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The proposed host cities for UEFA EURO 2028 include Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, London (two venues), Manchester, and Newcastle. The collaboration of these nations marks a historic moment for the European Championship, as it brings together multiple regions within the United Kingdom and Ireland to jointly host the tournament.

In addition to the EURO 2028 announcement, it was revealed that Italy and Turkey will jointly host the UEFA EURO 2032. This decision follows the successful bid by Germany to host the EURO 2024, as determined at a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon on September 27, 2018.

For Germany, the UEFA EURO 2024 will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship and a significant event in its football history. It will also mark the first time that Germany has hosted the UEFA European Championship since reunification. The country previously hosted the 1988 tournament and the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The selection of multiple host nations for EURO 2028 and the joint hosting by Italy and Turkey for EURO 2032 highlight UEFA’s commitment to promoting collaboration and inclusivity in international football competitions. These announcements are expected to generate excitement among football fans across Europe and around the world.
