Five armed robbery suspects have been detained by the Jigawa State Police Command at various sites throughout the state, and many evidence items have also been found.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, stated that on July 9, 2023, at approximately 02:00 a.m., one Ashiru Musa’m’, age 24, of Kyaran village in Dutse LGA, reported that on the same date at approximately 1830 a.m., while riding his motorcycle from Rafawa to Darau Mallam Musa Road, Dutse LGA, he asked someone who was riding to guide him to Karnaya village, but he was unlucky to be stopped, threatened with a knife, and stolen of his motorcycle, which had the Ogun State Registration Number AYE 918 UP.
“Upon receiving the report, the patrol team assigned to Fanisau Division sprang into action with the help of hunters and detained two individuals: Tijjani Haruna’m’, 19, and Baballe Abdulrahman’m’, 25, both of Gyabiya village in Dutse LGA.
Knives, wires, and the stolen motorcycle were discovered in the possession of the suspects as they were being questioned, and they also admitted to the crime.
