Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made a generous donation of N237 million to 424 orphanages across Nigeria through his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation (DAF).
In a statement shared on his Twitter handle, Davido expressed his gratitude to individuals and corporations from different sectors and regions who contributed to the donation.
The funds reached a total of 13,818 children, positively impacting their lives. Davido emphasized his commitment to using his platform to serve others and noted that he started the tradition of donating to orphanages on his birthday several years ago.
Last year, he fulfilled a promise made on his birthday by donating N250 million to 292 orphanages in Nigeria. Through these actions, Davido exemplifies his belief in the idea of rising by lifting others and continues to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
