Afrobeats star Davido has urged Osun State residents to reject violence and intimidation ahead of the governorship election. Campaigning for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election, the singer appealed for calm and encouraged voters to choose their preferred candidate peacefully, expressing confidence that Adeleke’s achievements would earn him another term.

Davido also appealed to an unnamed political figure from Imo State not to interfere in the election, saying Osun people should be allowed to decide their future without external influence. He added that politics should never be allowed to cause violence or threaten the lives of innocent citizens.

The singer encouraged eligible voters, especially young people, to come out and vote without fear. He stressed that politics is temporary, but the future of Osun State is permanent, urging everyone to protect democracy by ensuring a peaceful and credible election.
