Prominent Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Makun, better known as AY, has responded to the unfortunate incident of a fire engulfing his Lagos residence on Sunday.
A viral video captured by @Postsubman on social media showed AY’s multi-story building affected by the fire, with the roof ablaze.
In the wake of the incident, colleagues and fans, including his brother and fashion designer, Yomi Casual, extended their sympathies to AY and his family.
Taking to his Instagram page, AY expressed gratitude to God for the safety of his family. He shared videos and pictures of his wife and children, who were presently on vacation abroad, highlighting the importance of family and faith in such challenging times.
He wrote: “Family and God. That is what’s important. Everything else comes and goes. Can’t wait to join you guys in the US in a few days.”
As of now, the cause of the fire outbreak remains unknown.
