President Bola Tinubu has embarked on a six-day official visit to New Delhi, India, where he will attend the G-20 Leaders’ Summit and engage in various high-level meetings with world leaders and business executives. The visit is aimed at attracting global capital and increasing foreign direct investments in Nigeria.
Tinubu’s schedule includes participating in the G-20 Leaders’ Summit scheduled for September 9-10, 2023, as well as roundtable talks with at least 20 business leaders from various sectors. He will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of India, South Korea, Brazil, and Germany.
Additionally, the President plans to meet with the Nigerian community in India during his visit.
Accompanying President Tinubu on the mission are key government officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
The visit is expected to enhance Nigeria’s diplomatic relations, promote economic cooperation, and strengthen ties with other nations participating in the G-20 Summit. President Tinubu is scheduled to return to Abuja immediately after the summit concludes on September 10.
