The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, are scheduled to address a world press conference today following the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal upholding the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25, 2023, presidential election. Both Atiku and his running mate, Peter Obi, have rejected the tribunal’s judgment and plan to challenge it at the Supreme Court.
The press conference will be held at the PDP National Headquarters in Abuja and will feature the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Umar Iliya Damagun, and Atiku Abubakar. The conference is expected to provide further insight into their reaction to the tribunal’s decision.
The tribunal had unanimously upheld President Tinubu’s electoral victory, ruling that the petitions filed by Atiku, Obi, and their parties had no merit.
