Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will retain all three senatorial seats in the state, despite a recent Election Petitions Tribunal judgment overturning the Kogi Central senatorial election. The tribunal declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the actual winner of the election, citing inflated votes for the APC candidate and deliberate omissions of votes for the PDP candidate in certain polling units.
Governor Bello, however, remains optimistic that the APC will secure victory in all three senatorial seats in the state. His statement came after the tribunal’s decision and is a reflection of his confidence in the party’s ability to succeed in future elections.
