“Ondo Welcomes Akeredolu Back, Minister Says”

The return of Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, to the country after a three-month medical leave in Germany has sparked reactions, with various stakeholders expressing their happiness over his comeback. Among those welcoming his return is the Minister of Interior, Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who commended the governor’s strength, resilience, and willpower, as well as the faithfulness of God in his life.

Akeredolu landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, before proceeding to his personal residence in Ibadan, Oyo State. In Ibadan, he held meetings with his cabinet members and members of the state House of Assembly.

Minister Tunji-Ojo, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Alao Babatunde, expressed the joy and gratitude of the people of Ondo State for the governor’s return. He praised Akeredolu’s unwavering commitment to the well-being and progress of the state, calling him an inspiration. The minister expressed optimism that Ondo State would continue to develop and prosper under Akeredolu’s leadership.

In response to his return, Governor Akeredolu sent an official letter to the state Assembly, formally notifying them of his return to duty. He thanked the people for their prayers and stated that his return was a result of God’s intervention. Akeredolu assured the assembly members of his commitment to serving the people and completing his full tenure in office.

The governor also emphasized that he had officially resumed his duties, expressing gratitude for the prayers and support that had sustained him during his medical leave. He reassured the people that the office of the Governor had resumed full operations.
