Bauchi man kills two employees, places bodies in shallow grave.

Ibrahim Umar, 40, has been detained for the suspected ritual death of two casual laborers in Taranka village in Bauchi State’s Gamawa Local Government Area.

The two people went missing during the suspect’s stay in the said Taranka village, which is located in the Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State. The suspect is a resident of Dankunkuru village.

According to reports, Umar was thought to be responsible for the disappearance of the villagers.

These were mentioned in a statement made accessible to journalists in the state on Tuesday by Ahmed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer for the Bauchi State Command.

Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, claimed that as soon as police officers learned about the incident, they quickly detained the perpetrator.

He claimed that the state’s chief of police, Auwal Muhammad, called for calm and denounced the brutal execution of the two casual employees.

He urged residents of the state to refrain from sharing unverified news on social media since doing so could destabilize the community and prevent justice from being served.

“Adamu Mohammed, a male (57) from Taranka village in the Gamawa LGA of Bauchi State, claimed that Kabiru Idi, a male (36), and Bato Ali, a male (18), both of the same address, had gone missing approximately a month earlier at the Gamawa Divisional Police Headquarters.

“One Ibrahim Umar, a male (40), from Dankunkuru Village, Ungogo LGA, Kano State, was suspected of having planned the kidnapping and disappearance of the above people when he visited the people in Taranka Village for charcoal business.

“A detective squad was dispatched to the area as soon as they received the information and eventually arrested the culprit.

“During questioning, the suspect admitted to killing the two casual workers and burying their bodies outside the town in a shallow grave. As a result, the necessary coroner’s form was completed, and the bodies were removed from the grave in question for a secret investigation. These bodies were shown to be those of the missing people and were given a doctor’s death certificate.

“The Command then gave the remains to the family members for burial in accordance with their various religious customs. The investigation also revealed that the accused killed the two people with the intention of selling their bodies for ritual sacrifice, according to the CP.

Wakil added that human blood was discovered during a search of the suspect’s home.
