The spokesperson for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Femi Babafemi, has refuted claims that the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as MohBad, was poisoned while in their custody. Babafemi clarified that MohBad was not one of the Marlian Music artists arrested by the agency in 2022, as some had speculated.
He shared a link to an online platform’s report detailing the arrest of six individuals, including Zinoleesky (Oniyide Azeez), Owoeye Michael, Abimbola Ogbe, Dominica Chinwe, Olaolohun Shubomi Mariam, and Ibrahim Alawo, in February 2022. Babafemi emphasized that this arrest had been misconstrued by purveyors of fake news to suggest that MohBad was poisoned or detained by the agency.
MohBad had earlier shared a video in which he claimed to have been harassed and given a white substance to consume while in custody, alleging mistreatment by the authorities.
