Teni’s Wish for Her Gravestone Inscription

Renowned Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, or Teni as she’s widely known, has shared her desire for the inscription on her gravestone. In a recent episode of the “Tea With Tay” podcast hosted by actor Taymesan Emmanuel Ahwieh, Teni expressed her wish for her family and loved ones to engrave “She lived life on her own terms” on her grave after her passing.

During the podcast, Teni discussed her life experiences, including the early loss of her father when she was just two years old. She emphasized the importance of self-expression and living life authentically, regardless of judgment from others. According to Teni, everyone eventually passes away, and it’s crucial to be true to oneself.

She stated, “Expressing yourself is very important. The people that judge you, they will die too. So, they would die with their own stories. You die with your own story. I’m living my life because this is my terms to let the world know who I am. It’s my terms to sing when I’m feeling down, when I’m feeling up. It’s my terms to express myself. I’m not going to be here forever. None of us are leaving this world alive.”

Teni further explained her desire to leave a meaningful legacy by living life to the fullest and not holding back. She expressed her intention to die happy and fulfilled, leaving no potential untapped.

Teni urged people to embrace self-expression and not let fear hold them back from sharing their talents and dreams with the world. She emphasized that many unfulfilled dreams and talents lie in graveyards because people were too afraid to express themselves.
