Aviation Company Denies Tampering with Adeleke’s Aircraft Engine

Quits Aviation, the management company responsible for the aircraft involved in the recent incident with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has denied allegations of tampering with the aircraft’s engine. In a statement, the company stated that the aircraft was under 24-hour security surveillance, and CCTV footage showed no record of tampering.

The company clarified that it is responsible for providing secure parking space for the aircraft and that the technical maintenance procedures are the responsibility of the owner/operator, in this case, Deji Adeleke. The aircraft was parked at Quits Aviation premises, and the CCTV footage confirmed that it was towed to another location for flight preparation procedures.

Quits Aviation emphasized that there was no interference with the aircraft’s airframe or engines other than the towing movement. They expressed regret over the incident and pledged full cooperation with relevant authorities conducting an investigation.

The incident involving the aircraft occurred when Governor Adeleke and his aides narrowly escaped a crash while attempting to take off from Lagos for a journey to Abuja. Initial reports suggested the possibility of sabotage.
