Dr. Umoh Michael, a young doctor, tragically passed away on Sunday after allegedly working a 72-hour non-stop shift. According to reports, he died during a church service at the United Evangelical Church on September 17, having worked a grueling 72-hour shift at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where he was a resident doctor.
Doctors from the Association of Resident Doctors, LUTH chapter, asserted that Michael was overworked and barely had any rest before attending the church service where he slumped and passed away.
