Fast-rising Afrobeats singer Ruger recently shared his gratitude for senior colleague Davido Adeleke, acknowledging the pivotal role Davido played in supporting his career, even before he achieved widespread recognition.
During a recent interview with Beat FM, Ruger shed light on how Davido has been instrumental in propelling his career forward.
This revelation came about in response to a question regarding “The Big Five,” a term used by the record label boss in an earlier interview, which included Ruger.
Ruger disclosed that he first crossed paths with Davido in 2020, prior to his rapid rise to fame in 2021. He further explained that the A-list artist has been consistently offering substantial support throughout an extended period, including efforts to promote his music.
In his own words, Ruger stated, “Davido is someone that has been supporting me right from the begining of my career even before I came out in 2021. He met me in 2020; heard some of my songs and liked it. He has been creating awareness for my song even before I released my first song. Burna Boy has also supported in his way in O2 2021.”
