Abuja, Nigeria – October 1, 2023 – Alhaji Zikrullahi Hassan, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), delivered a message of unity and inclusivity to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 63rd Independence Day anniversary. Hassan urged citizens to embrace their differences, celebrate shared values, and work towards a future marked by harmony and unity.
In his Independence Day celebration message, Chairman Hassan emphasized that Nigeria’s diversity is a source of strength and uniqueness. He encouraged Nigerians to recognize and appreciate this diversity, noting that it is what makes the nation exceptional.
“Independence Day symbolizes the triumph of our collective will and unwavering determination to shape our destiny,” Hassan stated. “Let us remember that our nation lies in its diversity. Additionally, Chairman Hassan reminded Nigerians that preparations for the 2024 Hajj have commenced. He urged intending pilgrims to make early deposits in line with the deadlines set by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for activities related to the pilgrimage. He emphasized the importance of timely payments to ensure a smooth and organized Hajj experience for all.
“As you are aware, preparations for the 2024 Hajj have commenced in earnest with the guidance of a Calendar of events, released by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in which they have indicated the deadlines for the conclusion of all negotiations for services that will be rendered to pilgrims in the Kingdom. We enjoin all intending pilgrims to pay the required deposit timely,” Chairman Hassan advised.
As Nigeria celebrates its Independence Day, Chairman Hassan’s message serves as a call for unity and collective effort in building a stronger and more inclusive nation.
