Katsina, November 9, 2023 – Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has given his approval for the appointment of a new Executive Chairman for both the State Anti-Corruption Commission and the Local Government Service Commission. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Malam Ibrahim Kaula.
The newly appointed heads include retired Justice Lawal Garba, who will lead the Katsina State Anti-Corruption Commission, and Alhaji Usman Mamman-Maska, appointed as the head of the Local Government Service Commission. These appointments are effective immediately.
Governor Radda’s administration recently established the Katsina Anti-Corruption Commission, emphasizing the commitment to promoting transparency and accountability in governance.
In addition to the executive appointments, seven new part-time members were appointed for the Katsina State Anti-Corruption Commission. They are Malam Surajo Doro, Alhaji Abba Mato, Alhaji Kabir Aliyu-Maska, Alhaji Nafiu Kuringafa, Alhaji Bello Danmusa, Mr. Usman Dalhatu, and Dr. Jamilu Abdussalam, who serves as the Executive Secretary of the commission.
Similarly, seven new permanent members were appointed for the Local Government Service Commission. They include Alhaji Abubakar Abdulkadir, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Lawal-Danyari, Alhaji Mansur Mumai, Alhaji Shafi’u Inono, Alhaji Sani Aliyu-Jarkuka, Alhaji Abdullahi Kutawa, and Alhaji Lawal Dalhatu.
Governor Radda, while congratulating the new appointees, urged them to prioritize exemplary service to the government and people of Katsina State. He also called on them to align their visions with his administration’s ‘Building Your Future Agenda’ for the benefit of the people of Katsina.
