In a recent podcast interview with actress Iyabo Ojo, Nigerian singer Johnny Drille opened up about his marriage and shared that his wife, Rima Tahini, holds a special place in his heart as his first love. The Mavin Records artist recounted their initial meeting at one of his shows in 2018, where Rima was seated in the front row. Despite thinking she was of a different race initially, their connection deepened during a show in Abuja a few months later. By January of the following year, Drille was certain he wanted to marry her.
In the podcast, Johnny Drille expressed the profound conviction he felt about marrying Rima. Surprisingly, he revealed that Rima is his first girlfriend, and he married the first woman he ever said “I love you” to. The couple’s union had been kept under wraps until Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy disclosed the news in July.
