Adamawa man arrested for shooting friend

The Adamawa State Police Command has detained 45-year-old Wawe Nokomari on suspicion of shooting his friend Ham Musa on November 7 in the Jabi community in Shelleng LGA.

The command’s spokeswoman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, clarified that the accused, an eight-year-old father, opened fire on his companion during their job on a rice farm due to a misunderstanding while intoxicated by a local brew called burkutu.

It was discovered that the suspect had taken the gun from a vigilante and used it to shoot his companion.

The person is reportedly in a stable condition and is presently undergoing medical treatment.

The vigilante who loaned his gun to the suspect was to be arrested, according to SP Nguroje, per CP orders.
