INEC Declares Kogi Governorship Election Free, Fair, and Credible

INEC National Commissioner overseeing Kogi, Kwara, and Niger states, Prof. Dani Adam, has declared the recently concluded governorship election in Kogi State as free, fair, and credible. The statement was made during the presentation of the Certificate of Return to the Governor-elect, Ahmed Ododo, and his deputy, Joel Oyibo, at the INEC state headquarters in Lokoja.

Prof. Dani Adam emphasized that there is substantial evidence supporting the conclusion that the election was not only free and fair but also credible and verifiable by all concerned parties. The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Kogi State, Dr. Gabriel Longpet, echoed this sentiment, asserting that there is no doubt about the credibility of the election. He urged other contestants to demonstrate sportsmanship and collaborate with the governor-elect and deputy governor-elect for the benefit of the people and the advancement of democracy.
