Police in Kaduna detain serial Goat thief

A suspected goat thief was apprehended by the Kaduna State Police Command’s agents in Pasali Konu village, within the Kagarko Local Government Area of the state.

The suspect was taken into custody on Saturday, according to ASP Mansur Hassan, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Kaduna.

According to Hassan, the 20-year-old suspect was taken into custody by a vigilante group and a surveillance team on November 11 at roughly 04:30 while they were conducting a visibility patrol in the hamlet.

He said that the suspect is from Kagarko LGA’s Igwa village.

He clarified that the guy had a facemask and other potentially lethal weapons on him.

Hassan stated, “The suspect, who specialized in goat theft, admitted that they were two who came to the village to steal goats.”
He said that the other escaping suspect fled when they saw the patrol squad, and we apprehended the other one.
“We will track and arrest the other suspect who is at large, but he ran off to an unknown location,” Hassan declared.

The police spokeswoman stated that following the preliminary investigations, the suspect would face charges in court.
Hassan reaffirmed the command’s resolve to eradicate all types of criminal activity from the state and made a timely and relevant information request in order to take preventative action against crimes before they start.
