The Rivers State Police Command has arrested 13 of its officers for indecent dressing during a routine patrol in different parts of Port Harcourt. The arrests were made by the command monitoring unit, and the officers are currently in detention. The State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, emphasized that efforts are ongoing to curb indecent dressing among police officers, and the head of the divisions where the arrested officers serve will be held vicariously liable for their conduct.

During the live program organized by the Force Public Relations Department, CP Disu also reassured the public that the killers of the former Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ahoada East Local Government Area, SP Bako Ang Bashin, would be apprehended and brought to justice. SP Ang Bashin was decapitated by a suspected cult gang in September. The police commissioner expressed his commitment to fostering a partnership between the police and the public for effective and friendly law enforcement.
