In a shocking turn of events, Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has emerged alive and well, contradicting earlier reports of his demise. Abdulrasheed Opeyemi, Oladips’ personal assistant, has revealed exclusive details surrounding the rapper’s purported death, stating that he was declared dead for three days before miraculously coming back to life.
The news of Oladips’ death spread on November 14, leaving fans in mourning after a statement from his management conveyed the tragic news. The statement, released on the rapper’s behalf, claimed that he succumbed to an ailment he had been battling for the past two years.
However, in an interview with Findwhosabi Online, Abdulrasheed clarified the situation, attributing the misunderstanding to a miscommunication with the manager who had access to Oladips’ social media page. He explained that everyone, including himself, believed Oladips had passed away as he was not breathing. It was only on the third day that the rapper was revived, leading to the revelation that he had been mistakenly declared dead.
Abdulrasheed further disclosed that during the three days, Oladips was with his family. Regarding the manager responsible for the premature announcement, he confirmed that the individual had been dismissed from Dipsciples Music, Oladips’ record label.
“You are speaking with the right person in the label. The manager who shared the story has since been sacked. Oladips will soon address everyone on the issue,” Abdulrasheed assured.
Oladips, known for hits like ‘Chache,’ parted ways with LRR/Edge Records in 2019 and subsequently launched his own label, Dipsciples Music. His return from the brink of death has left fans both relieved and intrigued, as they await further details from the rapper himself.
