Actor Zack Orji Hospitalized 30th Dec 2023

Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has garnered an outpouring of prayers and well-wishes from celebrities and netizens after a viral video showed him in the hospital on Sunday.

According to sources close to the actor who spoke with Linda Ikeji’s blog, Orji was rushed to the hospital two days ago after collapsing in the toilet. Friends revealed that he had been feeling weak for a few weeks, and his current condition has led to him being placed in the Intensive Care Unit at The National Hospital in Abuja. Presently, he is unable to walk or talk, and medical tests are underway to diagnose the ailment.

Reacting to the distressing news on Instagram, several celebrities shared their prayers and concerns for Zack Orji’s health.

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo wrote, “God pls heal him. Amen. 🙏🏽”

Shan George, another actress, commented, “Prayers up sir 😢🙌”

Comedian and actor Woli Arole expressed, “God’s mercies in Jesus name.”

Actress Joyce Kalu shared, “I cover him with the blood 🩸 of Jesus.”

Netizens joined in with heartfelt prayers, expressing deep concern for the veteran actor’s well-being.

In a related note, popular actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, is reported to be in the hospital, where he underwent a leg amputation due to an illness. In October, it was revealed that Mr. Ibu had undergone multiple surgeries and was scheduled for further treatment abroad. Additionally, actor Amaechi Muonagor is battling kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke, undergoing weekly dialysis and treatments at the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, as reported by his cousin Tony Muonagor in November. The health challenges facing these Nollywood veterans have sparked concerns within the industry and among their fans.
