The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspected cultists in the Ishashi area of the state as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the arrests were made on Saturday at approximately 6:30 am. The action was prompted by information received about a group of individuals dressed in military uniform causing a disturbance in the Oke-Odan community in Ishashi.
In response to the tip-off, operatives from the Ishashi division swiftly intervened and apprehended the three suspects, whose ages range from 24 to 39.
Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Mr Adegoke Fayoade, had earlier expressed a commitment to ridding the state of criminal elements. The police spokesperson, Hundeyin, assured that an investigation into the matter is underway, and the suspects will be charged to court as soon as possible.
The arrest demonstrates the police force’s determination to maintain law and order in Lagos State and protect the well-being of its residents. Authorities encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help enhance community safety.
