Abdulwahab Magaji, an officer of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) serving in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has tragically taken his own life at his Abuja residence. Magaji reportedly shot himself with a pump-action rifle at his residence located at Binta Street, Farm Estate area, Abuja.
Upon receiving a report from Magaji’s family about his death, the police quickly responded, flooding the scene of the incident. Magaji was rushed to a hospital, where he was unfortunately confirmed dead by the attending doctor. His body has since been handed over to the family for burial, in accordance with Islamic rites.
A friend of Magaji, Lawan Al-Amin Mohammed, paid tribute to him, describing him as a person of outstanding character, great integrity, and purposeful living. Mohammed reminisced about Magaji’s infectious laughter, boundless optimism, and unwavering support, emphasizing the profound loss felt by his absence.
As of now, there has been no official statement from the Customs National Public Relations Officer or the FCT Police Public Relations Officer regarding the tragic incident.
