Chiefs Urge Sanusi to Respect Court Order

Following a Federal High Court’s directive for the reinstated Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, to vacate the palace, the Forum of Chiefs in Nigeria has advised him to comply immediately. The chiefs emphasized that occupying the palace illegally is unacceptable and urged Sanusi to avoid actions that may lead to unrest.

In a joint statement, the Forum’s President, Ameh Adaji, and Secretary General, Danladi Etsu, urged Sanusi to prioritize peace and respect the law. They emphasized the importance of accepting the court’s decision and cautioned against further defiance, stressing the need to uphold the rule of law in Kano State.
