The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has acknowledged that President Bola Tinubu, like any human, may have made some wrong decisions during his first year in office. Despite this, the party emphasized that Tinubu took power during a time of significant national crisis and has implemented the Renewed Hope Agenda to address these issues.
Speaking on Thursday, NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam noted that the President was aware of the existing challenges before assuming office. He highlighted the necessity for all Nigerians to become more determined and make sacrifices for the country’s betterment, citing Tinubu’s decision to remove the corruption-infested oil subsidy as a tough but ultimately beneficial move.
Aniebonam praised Tinubu’s administration for moving Nigeria from an “intensive care unit” to a “general ward,” indicating progress and potential for future greatness. He called for responsible and constructive opposition and urged all political leaders to ensure their actions benefit the general welfare of Nigerians, emphasizing the importance of productivity, rule of law, and avoiding corruption.
