The Rivers State Police Command, has identified one suspect, Emeka, and have taken him into custody. Emeka was allegedly the one who fatally sexually assaulted Mrs. Chigbewejim Steward, wife of Rivers state pastor.
According to reports, the suspect arrived in Abarikpo town in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state with a group of guys who killed the victim by sexual assault.
Information obtained by reporters on February 12, 2023, stated that the suspect got into a fight with the woman. Following that, he and his gang broke into the victim’s home at midnight with the intention of kidnapping her.
Further investigations show that Chigbewejim, who was five months pregnant at the time, had been brought to an unidentified place and was allegedly sexually assaulted to death by Emeka and his crew.
