The founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, widely known as Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, addressed the recent fire at the church’s headquarters, stating it was not an accident but a chance for greater developments. He made these remarks during a live Sunday service at the church’s campground in Asese, emphasizing a message of resilience and faith.
During his address, Pastor Oyakhilome recounted a similar past experience with the 2001 Ikeja cantonment bombing, where despite fears of collapse, the church building remained intact. He assured the congregation that the current incident would lead to the construction of a “bigger, better, and more glorious” church, reflecting a strong spirit of determination. “Nothing happens in the life of a child of God by accident,” he declared, turning the narrative towards a positive outlook.
At the scene of the fire, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service was actively managing the situation, with no casualties reported. The quick response from the fire service helped contain the damage, ensuring the safety of all involved.
