Peter Obi Mourns Amawbia Building Collapse Victims

Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has expressed condolences to families affected by the tragic collapse of a two-storey building in Amawbia, Anambra State. He called on Governor Charles Soludo’s administration to offer support to affected families and prevent future tragedies.

In a statement, Obi described the incident as unfortunate and emphasized the need for community support during such times of sorrow. He urged the state government to provide necessary assistance to affected families and ensure measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The collapse at Ekeoyibo Market in Awka South Local Government Area claimed lives and injured several others. Anambra State Police confirmed two fatalities and ongoing hospital treatment for rescued victims.
