Family and friends are mourning the death of Bishop Allan Kiuna, co-founder and senior pastor of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) in Nairobi. Bishop Kiuna passed away in a Nairobi hospital on Tuesday after his condition worsened. He had been battling multiple myeloma cancer since his diagnosis in 2018/2019.
Multiple myeloma is a cancer where abnormal plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow, forming tumors in various bones. Bishop Kiuna publicly shared his struggle with cancer in 2019, expressing gratitude for the strength to endure his journey.
Kenya’s President William Ruto, in a condolence message, joined the nation in mourning Bishop Kiuna. He described Kiuna as a dedicated Christian leader who inspired many through his teachings. Ruto extended his sympathies to Kiuna’s wife, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, and their family, offering prayers for strength during this difficult time. “May he rest in peace,” Ruto said.
