Government Appeals to Aviation Unions to Stay Calm Amid Protest

The Federal Government has begged aviation unions to reconsider their plans for a protest following a recent 50 per cent deduction from the internal revenue of aviation agencies.

Naija News reports that this request was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

In the statement signed and issued on Friday, Keyamo reassured the unions and other stakeholders that President Bola Tinubu is deeply committed to enhancing the Aviation sector and will carefully consider their demands in pursuit of a sustainable solution that addresses both the government’s fiscal responsibilities and the operational needs of the Aviation Agencies.

He encouraged all workers to remain calm and uphold industrial harmony while the Government diligently worked towards a peaceful resolution of the issue.

Keyamo added that the Ministry values their patience and understanding and is dedicated to fostering a supportive work environment for everyone.
