Popular Nollywood filmmaker Shina Sanyaolu has passed away, leaving the entertainment industry in deep mourning. Known for his significant contributions to Yoruba films, Sanyaolu was a respected producer and director. While the exact cause of his death remains unclear, his passing has been confirmed by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) president, Bolaji Amusan, who paid tribute to him on Instagram.
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko also shared heartfelt words, praising Sanyaolu’s generosity and impact on the film industry. He described Sanyaolu as a man who touched countless lives, offering kindness and support both in Nigeria and abroad. Kosoko recalled how Sanyaolu warmly welcomed actors traveling to the UK, making them feel at home and providing them with help and hospitality.
Sanyaolu’s contributions to Nollywood included works such as The Honourable, Two Wives, and Omo Olosan. His legacy of kindness and commitment to the arts will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
