The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, calling him a “serial complainer.” According to APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, Obi consistently refuses to accept election outcomes when they do not favor him or his allies. Morka shared these sentiments during a Tuesday interview on Arise TV, referencing Obi’s stance on the recent Edo governorship election.
Morka dismissed Obi’s objections, stating that Obi’s opinions on the Edo election hold no weight, as he was neither a candidate nor a voter in the race. He further asserted that the election was free and fair, despite claims from opposition parties. Addressing possible legal challenges from Labour Party’s Olumide Akpata and PDP’s Asue Ighodalo, Morka expressed confidence that they had yet to provide any substantial evidence of election manipulation.
Morka emphasized that while it is natural for losing candidates to feel disappointed, the APC remains unbothered by any court case. He reiterated that claims of foul play must be backed by credible evidence in court, and he welcomed the opportunity for the party to defend itself in the judicial process, reinforcing the democratic principle that “he who alleges must prove.”
