Eric ten Hag Sacked as Manchester United Manager Amid Struggles

Eric ten Hag has officially been dismissed as Manchester United’s manager following a disappointing start to the season, which sees the team sitting in 14th place in the Premier League.

The decision to part ways with Eric ten Hag came shortly after United’s 2-1 defeat to West ham, where Jarrod Bowen’s last-minute penalty sealed their fate.

Former United player Gary Neville had predicted this outcome, pointing to the team’s disjointed performances, poor results, and mounting pressure on Old Tafford.

After the loss, Neville voiced his concerns on his Sky Sports podcast, questioning whether ten Hag could continue his role.

“It’s getting to the point where the pressure will become unbearable,” Neville noted, adding, “The results, the lack of goals, lack of performances are stacking up week after week.”

With ten Hag’s exit confirmed, reports suggest that former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will take over as interim manager, with the hope that his leadership can provide much-needed stability and motivation to the struggling club.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano was the first to break the news, reporting that the United board had already initiated internal discussions regarding the managerial change.

Van Nistelrooy, one of the club’s top scorers during his playing days, now has the chance to revive United’s faltering campaign.

The club has reportedly approached other candidates for the permanent managerial role, including former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez.
