Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has directed heads of security agencies to make the state hostile for criminal elements, with a focus on addressing cult-related violence. During an inaugural security meeting, Okpebholo emphasized that his administration prioritizes security and is committed to making the state safe for residents.
The Governor highlighted the urgent issue of cultism in Edo and vowed his administration would not stand by while related killings persist. He called on security forces to collaborate in locating and removing criminal activities in the state, particularly in Benin City, to ensure safety for all residents.
Edo State Police Commissioner Umoru Peter Ozigi confirmed the council’s commitment, adding that Governor Okpebholo has pledged full support to secure Edo as a safe and prosperous place for everyone.
