Man Shocked as 24-Year-Old Apprentice Can’t Refuel Generator

A Nigerian man has shared his frustration online after discovering that his 24-year-old apprentice from Benin Republic had no idea how to pour fuel into a generator.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the man recounted how he instructed the young apprentice to refuel a generator, only for him to admit he didn’t know how. When questioned further, the apprentice explained that generators are uncommon in his country, leaving the man both surprised and amused.

The revelation sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users sharing similar experiences and highlighting the cultural differences between Nigeria and neighboring countries.

He wrote:

“So I asked my new apprentice, who came in from Benin Republic, to pour fuel into the gen, and he told me he doesn’t know how to do it. I was angry because this dude is 24, for crying out loud. Only for him to tell me that they don’t use generators in Benin Republic. Shame wan wound me.”

As the post circulated online, many users flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts, with some expressing surprise while others offered explanations about the difference in energy usage between the two countries.
