Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, visited former military president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) at his residence in Minna, Niger State. Obi shared the visit via his X account, noting it followed his earlier engagement with Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi.
During the visit, Obi and Babangida discussed pressing national matters. The former Anambra State Governor described IBB as a wise elder statesman whose insights he values greatly. Obi also took the opportunity to wish Babangida a happy New Year.
Highlighting the importance of the exchange, Obi expressed deep gratitude for the chance to benefit from Babangida’s wisdom and guidance on issues critical to Nigeria’s progress.
