The Social Democratic Party’s (SDP) 2023 presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has declared that the party will produce Nigeria’s next president. His statement comes just days after former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, joined the SDP, fueling speculations about the party’s growing influence ahead of 2027.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show, Adebayo expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would be removed from power in the next election. He described El-Rufai as a hardworking and patriotic leader, emphasizing that the SDP remains committed to its vision while others in government struggle with internal divisions and waning popularity.
According to Adebayo, the SDP has been steadily building its base without distractions from political appointments or power struggles. He hinted that more politicians would soon join the party, positioning it as a strong contender in the next presidential race.
