Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has moved out of the Government House in Port Harcourt. Reports indicate he left on Wednesday morning ahead of the expected arrival of Admiral Ekwe Ibas (rtd), who has been appointed as the new Sole Administrator of the state.
Security has tightened around the Government House, with armoured personnel carriers stationed at the entrance. Sources confirm that Fubara’s security details have been replaced, signaling a full transition of power. Meanwhile, Port Harcourt residents continue their daily activities, with no signs of unrest.
This move follows President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State due to rising political tensions and pipeline vandalism.
