There was serious drama at the premiere of the new movie Owanbe Thieves on Sunday, April 13, 2025, as Nollywood actresses Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus nearly came to blows. The event, held at Filmhouse Circle Mall in Jakande, was filled with celebrities and influencers — but the spotlight quickly shifted when the two actresses clashed on the dance floor.
In a viral video, Eniola was seen walking away angrily after spotting Laide on the dance floor. Moments later, Bakare approached her and almost slapped her before security quickly intervened to stop the fight. Many guests were shocked at the sudden outburst in the middle of the celebration.
Though the exact cause of the fight is still unclear, it is believed to be linked to an old disagreement between them. Reports say Eniola had accused Laide of mocking her personal life in the past, especially for not having children. Laide, however, claimed her words were misunderstood and never meant to hurt.
