Youths in the Panseke area of Abeokuta have taken to the streets to demand justice for the death of popular musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, who passed away last Tuesday. The youths gathered at the skating ground arena in Abeokuta, dressed in black attire and carrying placards with inscriptions such as #JusticeForMohbad and #WhoTurnedOffTheLight, among others.
Mohbad, a former signee of Marlian Records owned by Naira Marley, died at the age of 27. Naira Marley mourned the loss, describing Mohbad as more than just an artiste or signee, but as a brother and dear friend.
In response to the public outcry and concerns surrounding Mohbad’s death, the Lagos State Police Command has inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the mysterious circumstances of his death. The authorities are committed to identifying anyone linked to the case and establishing their level of involvement, using unique access with INTERPOL if necessary, according to Lagos State Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa.
