The governor expressed his gratitude to the people of Abia for their unwavering support throughout the election and its aftermath. Speaking from his Nvosi Country home in Isiala Ngwa South LGA on Saturday, Governor Otti stressed the importance of coming together for the common good.
He stated, “My advice to my opponents is that this is a good time to sheath their swords and join hands with me to develop our state, Abia. Anyhow you slice and dice it, it costs a lot of money to engage in litigation.”
Governor Otti, recognizing the financial implications of legal battles, suggested an alternative approach. He encouraged his opponents to invest their resources in community development, particularly in areas lacking essential infrastructure like roads and water supply.
Otti emphasized the need to prioritize the well-being of Abia’s citizens, stating, “I believe that their communities will appreciate it if they would channel those resources into building roads in their villages and communities, providing pipe-borne water, and ensuring that this state remains peaceful for the benefit of its inhabitants.”
