Renowned actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has criticized former presidential aide Reno Omokri for mocking the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, in connection with the health issues faced by his colleague, John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu.
According to The Nation, Mr. Ibu recently reached out for prayers as he grapples with an undisclosed illness that might potentially result in the amputation of his legs. The distressed actor made this plea shortly after a video of his birthday celebration in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos surfaced on social media. He expressed his fear of losing his legs, highlighting his limited alternatives.
In response to the news about the comic actor’s health issues that had been circulating online, Reno Omokri, in a post on a particular platform, suggested that Mr. Ibu had been a strong supporter of Peter Obi and thus urged the LP presidential candidate to assist in covering the medical expenses for the entertainer.
Unhappy with Reno’s statement, Kanayo O. Kanayo characterized Reno as an individual who craves attention and recommended that people refrain from giving him their attention.
“Whoever still listens to this attention- seeking writer @renoomokri is a fool and has no work,” Kanayo O. Kanayo remarked.
